The C&A Foundation sustainable cotton programme is working towards improving the livelihood of smallholder cotton farmers and conserving the environment by promoting organic cotton cultivation. The initiatives at the farm level focus on capacity building of farmers, providing support for organic certification and linking farmers to the market. As part of monitoring of the programme, partners regularly collect data on agronomic and socio-economic variables.

The sustainable cotton team in India is looking for a Data Management & Analytics Consultant to support the Analytics Officer in data management and capacity building of the implementing partners. This will be a part-time, home-based role with periodic visits to the foundation’s India office (in Gurgaon, Haryana) and the programme sites in India. 

This is a year-long contract.  It will be reviewed after one year, with the possibility of a permanent contract in case of exceptional performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Analytics Officer in cleaning and analysing the programme monitoring data collected by the implementing partners
  • Capacity building of the implementing partners through regular trainings on outcome indicators, data collection process and software usage 
  • Periodic visits to partner offices In India for monitoring of the data management process and verifying the quality of data
